You will learn what having 'visions' (साक्षात्कार) means, and what causes it. There is a 𝕤𝕚𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 and we will take you through it.
🌱We see the physical (the outside) world through these 2 eyes. This is normally called "vision". But when the SOUL see through its own 'divine' eyes, it does not need any participation of the bodily/physical senses. Thus this vision is seen not through these eyes, but 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝. It is formed within the mind by the touch of the divine (god); and therefore called "𝚍𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚟𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗"
🌈What happens during Saakshatkaar, is that for a moment--𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬. Thus when you are having a "divine vision" you are actually 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥. Thus, even a blind person can have 𝘚𝘢𝘢𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘳.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁?
There are a lot many various causes that can bring this experience to the soul. By let us explore the most common of them—'𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐲'
🪴You asked for the 'reason' of seeing a 𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚝𝚢 (Devi or Devta) or any form really whom one worshipped... and you will notice that in most cases, such 𝘚𝘢𝘢𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘳 happens during meditation; that is—when our mind is 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 in the supreme, when we are remembering God (in whichever form we believe and put faith in)
🍁The simple secret here is—𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭; 𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦. If you think God as a 𝕞𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕟, and lovingly remember a mountain... you will see that picture in your mind every time you think of God.
⭐God is using your own imagination 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧.
☘️God is not 𝙺𝚊𝚕𝚒 𝚘𝚛 𝙺𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚑𝚗𝚊 𝚘𝚛 𝙹𝚎𝚜𝚞𝚜 𝚘𝚛 𝙱𝚞𝚍𝚍𝚑𝚊—people vision them because of their faith, sourced mostly from the religion they follow.
"𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩—𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚-𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜."

🍀So we cannot say WHY exactly all these good souls (RamKrishna, Swami Vivekananda, etc) saw 𝗠𝗮𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶 in their vision, but surely it is something to do with "𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫". Perhaps through the Saakshatkaar of Kali, 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝙛𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧, those souls were reminded of the importance of the other side of god. Because you notice that all these people you mentioned were '𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙖𝙨𝙞' who choose to stay away from a family life, and thus are unfamiliar of the 𝚏𝚎𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚍𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢.
🌳We all must have seen such "divine visions" at least once in our lifetime. 𝐈𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩, 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.
👉The purpose of God (or say 'the Universe') in showing us a Saakshatkaar, a vision—is 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚. (Remember this original truth and you will be able to derive the answers to all those WHY questions.)
